Nothin' But Sand Beach Cleanup
Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (PDT)
Santa Monica, CA
If you are trying to register for this event, we are full according to the website, but we welcome you still -we just ask that volunteers bring their own reusable tools to use. Volunteers need garden gloves or work gloves and buckets or reusable (washable) tote bags to use to clean. We are providing the tools for the first 1000 people, but since we are at capacity, anyone that signs up after this point will need to bring a bucket and a glove to use. We are really committed to making this Earth Day zero waste and cleaning up without producing excess trash. We would love your help and support in this effort. Thank you.
PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE
Our monthly Nothin' But Sand cleanups are open to all.
This is a great opportunity for you and your family, friends or associates to get involved.
- Bring cash if you plan to park in the lot (there is no discounted parking) or come early to find street parking.
- Volunteers must be 13 years old OR be accompanied by an adult.
- Bags and gloves will be provided. However, to help cut down on the number of supplies we use for our cleanups, please bring your own reusable garden gloves and bucket or reuse a bag from home.
- We also encourage you to carry reusable water bottles. Water is available at all cleanups.
If you are bringing a group of 10 or more, do let us know. All cleanup volunteers must have a signed waiver form. The cleanup will begin at 10 a.m.
Note: NBS is a rain or shine event. Cleanups are only cancelled for lightening or thunderstorms due to risk. We will still hold the cleanup in light and steady rain.
